. Any person who completes a NJ Brokers Course is deemed to have fulfilled the CE Requirement for the licensing term in which the Brokers Course was completed. You are exempt from the CE Requirement if you were originally licensed in the second year of the licensing term, after July 1 st of even years (2016, 2018, etc.).
For example: If you were originally licensed on July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, you are exempt from the CE Requirement for the 2019 Term However, if you were originally licensed on July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, or any date prior, you are not exempt and must complete the CE Requirement for the 2019 Term. The NJ Real Estate Sales Licensing Course is offered in 2 formats – the 'daytime' & the 'evening' program. Our Daytime program runs Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for two consecutive weeks. We offer one daytime course each month. Our Evening program runs 2 evenings each week (either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday &Thursday) from 6:30 PM to 10:15 PM for approximately 10 weeks. Of good moral character (see “” and ). If you have a criminal record, the NJ Real Estate Commission may decide on your ability to be licensed AFTER you have passed the licensing exam. The determination is made on a case-by-case basis. Once you successfully complete your NJ Real Estate Licensing Course at The Real Estate School, you have met the educational requirement to sit for the NJ and/or PA Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam. Please note that the NJ course does not cover PA specific real estate law, so you will need to review that material on your own prior to testing for the PA license. To obtain the New Jersey license, you have one year to pass the NJ State Licensing Exam, obtain Electronic Fingerprints, select a real estate brokerage company and activate your NJ License.
To obtain both the NJ and PA licenses, successfully complete our NJ Sales Licensing course. You are then eligible for both the NJ and the PA licenses. No additional course work is required! We recommend that you first take the NJ State Exam and activate your NJ license, then request a Letter of Good Standing from the NJ Real Estate Commission. Provide a copy of that letter to PSI Exams in order to take the 30 question “state law” portion of the PA Real Estate Licensing Exam.
You do not have to take the “national” portion of the PA exam again because you already passed that section when you took the NJ State Exam. Agents frequently assist in both the sale of the current home & the purchase of a new home for each client, doubling the potential commission. For example, if an agent sold a couple’s $300,000 home, he or she would typically earn at least $4,500 on that sale.
